Formes d’ouvertures

Mardi Noir (Rennes, France)

Formes d’ouvertures is a digitally enhanced photo-documentary of a series of abandoned properties that have been inhabited by refugees who are seeking asylum from distant post-colonial conflict zones.

Now based in Rennes, Mardi Noir (1981) comes from Lamballe, a little town in Northwestern France, where he grew up away from nature, near-ish to the sea, and right next to the Paris-Brest line train yard.

24 pages, 14.8x21cm, b&w photocopy, numbered edition of 100.
